Getting Started
Setting up your Nexus gateway is straightforward - power it up, connect to the internet, attach your devices, and add it to AERL Cloud.
Power Up the Nexus
Supply power by either:
- Connecting the provided USB-C wall plug to the USB port, or
- Providing 18-60VDC to the power input port
Connect to Internet
Connect an Ethernet cable from your network router to the Nexus Ethernet port. The device will automatically connect to the internet.
Connect Compatible Devices
Connect your energy monitoring devices to the CAN ports on the Nexus:
- Solar charge controllers
- Battery management systems
- Inverters
- Other compatible CAN bus devices
Add to AERL Cloud Portal
- Log in to AERL Cloud (opens in a new tab)
- Click the + button in the portal
- Enter the device information from the back label:
- Serial Number: Device identifier
- Pin Code: Security code printed on device
- Assign to a location (existing or create new)
- Your Nexus will automatically connect and start sending data
That's it! No additional configuration is required. The Nexus will automatically discover connected devices and begin transmitting data to AERL Cloud.
