Service
The Service page provides centralized management for device configurations and firmware releases. This page is accessible to users with Owner, Admin, or Technician roles.
Overview
The Service page consists of two main sections:
- Devices: Configure device settings remotely
- Firmware Releases: View and manage firmware versions
Accessing the Service Page
- Navigate to the Service page from the main navigation menu
- The Service option is only visible to users with appropriate permissions (Owner, Admin, or Technician roles)
Device Configuration
Managing Device Settings
The Devices tab displays all CoolMax SRX controllers in your organization, allowing you to:

Search and Filter
- Search devices by serial number
- Filter by location
- Toggle between table and card view

Device Status
- View real-time device status (Online, Sleeping, Offline)
- Check current firmware versions
- See available firmware updates

Configure Devices
- Click the Manage button on any device to open the configuration modal
- Alternatively, click Configure from the device detail page
Configuration Requirements
To configure a device remotely, the following requirements must be met:
- Device Status: Must be online
- Device Firmware: Version 2.8.0 or higher
- Gateway Firmware: Version 1.7.11 or higher
If these requirements are not met, you'll see an appropriate error message explaining which component needs updating.
Configuration Options
The device configuration modal allows you to adjust:
System Settings
- Charger: Enable/disable MPPT charger functionality
- Blackstart Guard: Enable automatic recovery for deeply discharged lithium batteries
Charging Parameters
- Current Limit: Maximum charging current (in Amperes)
- Absorb Voltage Start: Voltage at which absorption charging begins
- Absorb Time: Duration of absorption charging phase
- Float Voltage: Maintenance charging voltage
- Rebulk Voltage: Voltage threshold to restart bulk charging
Battery Equalization
- Equalization Voltage: Voltage for battery equalization
- Equalization Time: Duration of equalization cycle
- Cycles Until Equalization: Number of charge cycles before equalization
Protection Settings
- Temperature Compensation: Voltage adjustment per degree Celsius
- Charge Cutoff Temperature: Maximum temperature for charging
- Ground Fault Sensitivity: Earth leakage detection sensitivity
- Ground Fault Mode: System earthing configuration
Firmware Management
Viewing Firmware Releases
The Firmware Releases tab displays all available firmware versions for your devices:

- Version number
- Release channel (Stable, Beta, Alpha)
- Variant (Standard, Special configurations)

- Search by version number or release notes
- Filter by device type

- Click View Details to see comprehensive information
- View release notes, features, and bug fixes
- Check hardware compatibility requirements
Deploying Firmware Updates
Firmware updates can be deployed from multiple locations:

From Device Configuration Modal
- When configuring a device, available updates are displayed
- Click Deploy Update to initiate the firmware update
- Device must be online to receive updates

Visual Indicators
- 🔼 Arrow icon: Update available
- ✓ Check mark: Firmware is up to date
Firmware Update Process
When deploying a firmware update:
- Confirmation: Review update details and confirm deployment
- Progress Tracking: Monitor update progress in real-time
- Automatic Restart: Device will restart automatically after update
- Duration: Updates typically take approximately 2 minutes
⚠️ Important: Ensure devices have stable power supply during updates. Do not power off devices during the update process.

The Service page is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices:
- Touch-friendly interface
- Responsive tables and cards
- Full functionality on all screen sizes
Troubleshooting
Configuration Issues
"Device must be online"
- Ensure the device has an active connection
- Check the device status indicator
"Firmware version must be 2.8.0 or higher"
- Update device firmware before attempting configuration
- Check available updates in the firmware section
"Gateway firmware version must be 1.7.11 or higher"
- Update the gateway firmware first
- Contact support if gateway updates are not available
Update Issues
"Device must be online to deploy firmware"
- Wait for device to come online
- Check network connectivity
Update Progress Stuck
- Allow up to 5 minutes for completion
- If update fails, retry the deployment
- Contact support if issues persist
Best Practices
- Regular Updates: Keep devices and gateways updated to the latest stable firmware
- Test First: Deploy beta releases to test devices before production
